Children’s Poem – Heroic Raccoon

Heroic Raccoon, with such a stylish mask…

Who are you saving? Who are you saving today?

Why are you digging through the trash?

Or are you helping you friend the mouse get out from the bottom?

Why are you hiding in the bush?

Or are you helping untangle your friend the rabbit from the branches?

Why are you climbing the tree?

Or are you helping your friend the bird by watching her babies from the nest?

Why are you going in that shed?

Or are you helping your friend the skunk by showing him the way out from the door?

Who are you saving? Who are you saving today?

Heroic Raccoon, with such mysterious eyes…

Children’s Poem – The Lovely Raccoon

Hope you enjoy. I will update my pages soon. By the way, I love raccoons. I didn’t mean for the title to be sarcastically, I meant it with a love for silly animal

The Lovely Raccoon

Whispering Raccoon, sneaking all around…

What are you looking for? What are you looking for late in the night?

When you are eating cat food, are you looking for a lonely cat to eat with you?

Or are you looking to enjoy it all by yourself?

When you get into the neighbor’s garage, are you looking for a great party place?

Or are you looking for the extra cans of soup to guzzle down?

When you climb high in the trees, are you looking for the best house to visit?

Or are you looking for fruit for a late night snack?

When you are searching through a garbage can, are you looking for leftover pizza?

Or are you looking for some pieces of broccoli and maybe cheese?

What are you looking for? What are you looking for in the shadows of the night?

Whispering Raccoon, creeping all around…
